About Julie Carter

Julie Carter

Julie, in her syndicated Cowgirl Sass & Savvy columns, has always painted cowboy pictures with words and wit in her attempt to bring a unique point of view to cowboy life. Now she adds to that "capture of the Southwest" effort with her award winning photography. She brings to you those places down back roads that most don't see while driving the highways. She freezes in time a sunset behind a windmill, a rose colored sky beyond the barbwire and tumbleweeds. She takes you to the hushed serenity of the high desert of New Mexico and shows you the fun the cowboys have when it's time to go to the rodeo. From her ranch raising in Colorado to her ranch living in New Mexico and a few thousand rodeo arenas in between, she writes and photographs...
